I liked the idea of removing the loose part to muffle the sound as needed. Unfortunately, it was less than 48 hours before he decided to unscrew himself. gone forever The bell has a nice bright sound, but it took quite a bit of movement to make it audible. My dog could walk without noise. I would suggest finding a dangling one if you want to keep it.
