Review on πŸ”§ Makita 01345 Impact XPS Boost Power Tool by Ben Diesel

Will not fit standard baits

Unlike their previous Mag Booster plastic which was fantastic this one is terrible. In fact, don't even bother. First, most bits don't even fit in. It doesn't have a standard hex shank hole but instead has 3 retainers in a fairly small hole. I'm struggling to find anything that even went through the retainers. Also, they don't hold long shots well. When they match, the center of gravity is shifted, and this causes terrible wobbling during movement. The detents only work on the shank, and long hammer drills tend to be thinner in the middle. As long as they're gripping short bits (the shank is in the right place) there won't be enough shank for the tool or tool. bit holder. See fig. My photos show Makita Gold Drums, Makita Impact XPS and Milwaukee Shockwave Beats. If you cannot install them, you will miss out on your customers and many benefits. The spout is also very small. I think the intent is to only let a small portion of the bit come out by holding the magnet close to the clasp. But it's REALLY small, so the bit doesn't fully fit in many holders. I've tried finding product videos to see what they were up to but can't find anything of value. The new XPS bits are so good but then they drop this piece of junk. Makita, what were you thinking?
