These are very good quality and beautiful spark plug wires, but they require some effort to make. I have been extremely satisfied with every MSD product I have purchased and these wires are no exception. These wires are some of the thickest in the world and I actually had to modify my loom to accommodate their sheer size. They are well insulated, very flexible and I love the bright red color. You get nine wires in the box (eight connector wires, one coil wire), and all have a polygonal connector lug except for the coil wire, which has a 90 degree lug. The polygonal boot is also absolutely stunning. Once the spark plug is secured to the boot, you can flex the boot and it will stay in place. So if you want a 30 degree bend on that connector the polygonal boot will go straight and then you can bend it where you want and it will hold. This was very helpful in having a fork that fits my ankle PROPERLY. You assemble the wires to the desired length, mount the distribution terminal and equip them with the supplied crimping pliers. The instructions are pretty clear and relatively simple. You get both HEI connectors (and covers) and standard jack connectors and covers, enough for all nine wires plus an extra if you screw one. The included wire stripper/crimping tool is a bit odd but gets the job done. A sharp knife is required to strip the wire (X-acto worked well for me) and a metal vise is required to crimp the wire. I had a small hand vise that I used so I didn't have to take each wire off the machine after measuring to crimp it. The tool is pretty primitive and a little fiddly, but it worked better than expected once I knew what I was doing. If you can afford a $70 MSD crimping tool, it will surely make the job MUCH easier. After assembling all my cables, they snapped right onto my MSD distributor cap (standard distributor) and onto my connectors. The boots are really stuck on some plugs, but a bit of WD-40 helped them slip. The car started as usual and while I don't expect any performance improvements from the new cables, I know they will work better and last longer than the parts store junk I took out of the car. It took me about 3 hours to assemble this wire set using an aluminum wire machine/cutter, which was a little longer than I expected, but it started working faster after I made some wires and stopped the routine.
