We made 6 tires. You have to be very careful not to pull too hard or they will break. On the first tire we went around everything with as many spokes (like 2 or 3) and the spokes felt pretty slippery. So with the next tires we did everything as we did with the third spoke, but wrapped this spoke several times. This worked much better - it stayed in place well. I then went back to redo the first one and it broke while very carefully trying to get it off. So yes, they are fragile. And it's not the kind of cable that can just be stripped and reconnected. The wires are not in a removable sleeve. You must have a special soldering kit to fix it and fingers crossed. All 3 colors (we made red, multi and blue) looked very cool. Aside from a few laps in the basement I can't tell you how long they lasted because it was a Christmas present and we're still practicing social distancing.
