We ordered a pad for our rug and we love how it helps it not slip, and adds comfort. I understand that with a pad for a rug in the middle of the room, you wouldn't want too high profile of a mat underneath, and have the rug become trippable, but I think we are going to order another one and just stack them underneath. The kids were leery of taking out the living room carpet, because it was so comfy and soft. We promised them that the big living room rug would be just as soft with a pad under. As it sits now, it's nowhere near as soft, so we'll order another in that pursuit! :) I think we'll order one that is slight different size so that there is a ramp up from the edge vs just: boom, thick. Overall, we like your USA made rug pad! Thanks!
