This is a terrific seller and rug pad. I bought one as a trial to use under a rug in the kitchen. It arrived timely, did not stink or smell. There was a slight odor but that quickly disappeared. It's perfect. The inexpensive rug is now comfortable to stand on. The rug pad stays exactly where I put it. The actual rug moves a bit, so I may use some Velcro to keep it in place. We place these under our area rugs and they perform very well. Creates a nonslip surface underneath while also adding some needed cushion. Will order again when needed.

This is a great pad for smaller rugs but it doesn't do very well for larger ones for whatever reason. The pad doesn't do a great job of sticking to the rug so it separates often and you can trip on it.

I purchased for a large area rug that kept sliding on my hardwood floors. This has done the trick! No more sliding. Has made the rug nicer to sit on and walk on although if you want to go to the edges I would go bigger and cut down otherwise a small gap on edges where it is short. I believe this is a personal preference. But does not alter the job of keeping it from sliding. Overall pricy but worth the money after trying other options

We have a rug the same size as the underlayment 10x13’. So, to make trimming the sides by roughly 2” to lay flat a little easier, we took frog tape (painters tape) roughly 2” wide and ran it down each side and just cut it with scissors using the tape as our guide. About as straight as could be and very quick.The rug itself is thick enough for our purpose, the materials seems to be of good quality for what if is. I would recommend buying this if you are looking.

I read the reviews--most stated that the 7/16" is actually 1/4", which is correct. It made a big difference in the feel of our new wool rug. The pad was exactly 9'x12', the same size as my rug, so I trimmed 2" from 2 of the sides to allow a 1" overlap all around, as stated in the reviews. A great example of how reading the reviews is sometimes helpful. I am glad I bought it.
