The right quality product is worth the investment.
My husband and son bought a Honeywell HEPA air purifier while I was in the hospital with pneumonia. The lung problem stack makes it an absolute must for me and it almost always works. Six months later, after my husband vacuumed the filters several times, we decided to replace them. These things were dirty! And it didn't get into my lungs, so hooray! I now have Alexa to remind me when it's time to change filters (every 45 days for black and every 6 months for white). They're expensive, but much cheaper than hospital stays and emergency room visits.
