This light was part of a tire retrofit project. I now have a 295/70R17 on my Jeep JKUR and a Garvin trunk. I have a complete set of MORryde trunk systems. (Three parts: hinges, tailgate reinforcement kit and tire holder). I had to place a Garvin trunk with steel washers and longer bolts to remove the new spare tire (tire over 33" tall) so chances are the stock third eye brake light would work as no room for that was. I mounted this light directly on the back of the luggage rack. There is nothing between the 17 inch light and the vehicles behind. So if I end up behind, it's because the offending driver is missing eyeballs. I often get comments about the Jeep and I think the transparent light that the lens sees well there It's not obvious what it is until the brakes are applied.
