got it to replace the dying WD5000AAKS. He worked for 1.5 years and also because of CRC DMA. The new drive turned out to be more reliable: not a single bad sector for 3 years. Works quietly and quickly. In the 4th year, DMA CRC errors began to appear - more than 1000. The previous one had the same errors. I'm not 100% sure it's a disk though. Maybe the motherboard is buggy, although on the same board another disk loads without problems. Advice about cables - complete : I changed all the cables - the result is 0. On another motherboard, everything reads without problems and failures (although it didnβt work there for a long time). I did not check the download on another mother. In general, the disk is not bad, but the problems with CRC DMA seem to be its main strong point. The term of life is determined at 3-4 years. If you're lucky and use it as storage, it will live longer.
