I've stopped counting how many helmets I've bought/tried on over the last few years to find that elusive "perfect” fit. At the moment the Bell Qualifier fits best (I have a large head, significantly longer than the "medium" oval but wider than the "narrow" oval; very difficult to find a good fit). Most of my other helmets were HJC because I found they fit fairly well but were far from perfect; So far, the Bell Qualifier has been superior to the HJC in terms of equipment. I originally thought the visor on the Bell would be a problem if it "cracked" in high winds, but on my cruiser it works great (stays "cracked") at over 50 mph, but it stays not on my FJR. open at 35 but I think it's because the windshield at the very bottom sends a concentrated stream of wind straight onto the visor so the visor isn't a problem. The top vents are ok, they let out a lot of wind when you turn your head slightly, but not that much when you look straight ahead. the chin vent is about as good as any other helmet I own (average price or budget); I'm sure some of the more expensive helmets have better airflow. I've tried many Arai and Shoei helmets but couldn't find the right fit, and for $500+ I don't buy a helmet unless it fits perfectly. So I decide on a helmet for the Bell Qualifier first! Now I will try the Bell module to see if I can replace the HJC module :)
