I've never tried a disc cutter but wanted to when this cutter came on sale at a great price. The price and the fact that it included a cutting board and spare blade made me decide to give it away to Whirlpool. I was skeptical as some of the reviews weren't exactly favorable, but again the retail price of $12.80 was worth a shot. I unpacked it, threw the notebook on the bed and tried it out, expecting disappointment - but wow! Even though I placed it on the bed rather than a hard surface, it cut through the double-thick fleece cover in one simple motion. I didn't even try very hard. I'm sold!
