Review on Silver Men's New Balance Arishi Running Shoes - Athletic Footwear by George Walker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It is not as pictured but could be good

Ok this is going to be an odd review full of claims that contradict my 5 star rating. The first thing that struck me was that the box was worn, not only damaged in transit but may have been returned by a previous buyer. The corners have been torn (but not the shipping case) and it looks bent, bruised, which if you buy New Balance often, the boxes are solid even if they use padded bag shipping. When I ordered I ordered 11 XW but the confirmation said 4E. Okay as I had foot problems I'll have to wait and see as I clearly went for the ladies 11 XW. The box says Mens 11 4E. It's not a men's 11 because when I tried the shoes on they hadn't been worn. There is now some space in the sock, but not 2 sizes too big (women's 11 = men's 9). That's probably why this product and style sat idle for a while and why I got a ridiculously low price for a new balance. Putting all that aside, this turns out to be exactly what I need. I wear women's size 11 XW. I have had 3 knee replacements within 4 months and the ongoing surgeries etc have not helped the overall health of my leg. I have found that with these thick sports heels and soles I don't have much stability, but I need sports shoes. I tried them on with thick socks and was skeptical but was surprised at how comfortable they are. This is one of those situations where anything a customer would return for a shoe has worked for me. If you wear 11 XW for women, they fit. It doesn't seem like it at first glance, but they are there.

Pros
  • No suture applied
Cons
  • Long delivery time
