The pulley then received a final coat of powder paint and for some reason it went through the entire "inspection" before I received it. Regardless, it was way better than what I had, it's for daily driving, so I'm not going to drive this 225,000 mile car, and it doesn't go very fast. I filed the damaged grooves to keep the belt from breaking and did as little as possible to keep the balance. After installation the engine runs much quieter and despite my hack the car runs fine 300 miles later. two stars because it works. Should I return it and get a replacement? Yes. I've been waiting for my car to break down to do this job? Also yes. Am I to blame if the car breaks down because of this? Absolutely, I received a defective part from this supplier?
