I've never had good luck with static sticky window items so I bought these. It is easy to install and, based on previous home experience, easy to remove, even after being in direct sunlight for 6-8 hours a day by the window for three years. I didn't want to hang curtains in the bedroom, I have very nice wooden blinds. The previous owners hung it and placed it too far from the window, leaving about an inch of room on the sides so you can see inside when it's dark with the lights on. Not perfect. Hang this over two windows and you don't have to worry about someone seeing something they shouldn't or don't want to see. (My house is on such a slope that the bedroom windows are visible through the fence and from the street.)
