Review on PHYTO Phytomillesime Color-Boosting Botanical Shampoo, 6.7 Fluid Ounces by David Alvarado

Smells Great; Color Remained Bold

First, Yes this smells great. It's a perfume-like apple floral smell. That said, Phytomillesime is a great shampoo. My current shampoo is Kerastase (in the orange bottle) and it's made a huge difference with my hair, which is color treated red with highlights and tends to fade quickly. I used to spend $$ on conditioners but now to preserve the color and cope with hard water buildup I spend the $$ on the shampoo. I am NOT a frequent washer (because of hard water) and use dry shampoo regularly.I used Phytomillesime as the directions said: My first wash was quick and didn't lather much, my second did lather more and I left it on the suggested 2 minutes. After, before using conditioner, my hair felt clean but not stripped. This was my first wash after coloring and I didn't see any color go down the drain. My color remained bold and looked great after drying. Subsequent washes with it produced similar results. As said, this smells really nice and comes in a smallish metal bottle, which worked for my gym bag (but the top isn't perfect so I kept it in a plastic bag). Overall this is high quality and I'll be alternating it with my Kerastase in the future. Background: Phyto is a French plant based beauty company that is known for their (high end) hair care sold in stores like Neiman Marcus. Their frizz taming PhyroDefrissant has (had?) a cult following.
