These screens are for birds.
. and insects, snakes or something else. Although our ceiling vents already have grilles, they were installed in the attic to give the birds a nice roost to keep warm at night. They were so fortunate that they could (and did) "make a mess" under the place they decided to camp. The holes in the blanket were 1-7/8" rather than 2, but I was able to make them fit by slightly bending the tabs. After buying a 6 pack to see if they would work I went ahead and bought a few more. I recommend them for this (unintentional) purpose.
