Simple, cheap and great at what it does

First off, a disclaimer: this really isn't a "KVM switch" as anyone reading the details can tell - It is a KM switch, since the video is not involved. I've known about KVM for a long time and used it a lot at work and at home, back when all monitors were D-Sub and keyboards and mice used PS/2 connectors. It took me too many frustrations before I went looking for a modern KM USB switch. In layman's terms, this device looks like a 4-port USB hub with two USB outputs instead of one. Connect a keyboard, mouse, and up to two additional devices to the ports, connect the two included cables from the switch to an available USB port on two different computers, and you can easily use one set of devices with each computer. In my case, I started working from home for FMLA. I had a hub on my home computer with a keyboard and mouse attached, but when I was at my desk I had to unplug it from my home computer and plug it into my work laptop. The problem was that if I wanted to do something on my home computer at the same time (like stream music), I had to move that output from one computer to another and back whenever I needed to do something (like skip a track). . With this switch, my keyboard and mouse are already connected to both computers. I just press a button to switch from one to the other and I can multitask all day long. It's the most reliable technology you can get these days. The only point of criticism are the two supplied cables, which could have been a bit longer. Otherwise it works great.
