The Helping Hands set you've always dreamed of!

This Helping Hands set is exactly what I expected after reading the description. It's heavy, durable, simple and well made. Starting with the careful packaging, the attention to detail is evident. The kit includes a small pouch with anti-scratch discs to attach (your choice) to the magnetic ends of the temples. There is also a small card describing the effect of it. Ultimate holding power is reduced when shims are used, but when shims are used it is easier to get the levers in place without scratching the base. I felt the levers held up well enough even with the washers installed, so I decided to install them. The clamps themselves are much nicer than the ones I had before. The clamps are made of stainless steel and have a strong spring. They are strung on a stand at the end of the arm. There is a knurled lock nut that allows you to rotate the clip to any position and then lock it in place. In my case I needed something bigger so I removed the clips from the two levers and installed the plastic spring clips. To do this, simply drill a hole in the handle of the spring clip and then attach it to the arm with a knurled nut. I think many items like a light or magnifying glass can be modified to fit these hands as the carving has a standard pitch. The weapons are so well made that they can easily find many targets elsewhere. I was wondering if I would need all 5 hands but I'm glad I have them after seeing the build quality. I didn't even mention how good the yellow is. Powder coating on the base. The weight seems right and the size seems perfect. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • STRONG MAGNET ARMS: Loosely attach 5 16"/12"/8" adjustable magnet arms to the plate. Attach your project to the 360Β° rotating alligator clips and secure with the knurled nuts. Move, rearrange and position to keep them stable so you can work with precision.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
