Smart looking tire

The first thing that struck me about this tire was how it looked on my mountain bike. It's actually a bit reminiscent of a motorcycle tire. I've ridden it a bit so far so I'll update if I have new thoughts, but so far it seems satisfying and faster than my old mtn bike tires. Quiet enough to be sure. However, don't expect super good traction on gravel. I can feel my tires "spitting" rocks left and right in my Rockdrive, which makes me nervous at higher speeds, but they haven't really skidded yet to cause destruction or anything. I think this is a solid tire and worth trying. They arrived in very good condition. ** To update. I've been using these tires for about 1-2 short rides a week with my dogs on a semi-rural paved road for the past few weeks. You still do everything I said before. They didn't break up or anything like that. I aired them down to 65 pounds of pressure, I think the lowest for them so hopefully they stay grippier. But they are super tough. I think these are great street tires but still not great for places with too much gravel. I can ride them on grass with relative ease, certainly not as light as my old MTN bike tires. I'm still happy with them. *** Update #2. They are working great so far. I have ridden them many times over these months, both in hot and cold weather. Even if they lack some air, they work well. However, I prefer to inflate them to the minimum amount of air required (instead of running to the minimum) for easier handling and faster movement. 01/26/13
