Changing tires for a fun ride!

My trusty 1996 Schwinn High Plains has always been my favorite - it fit me well, was my bike for a hike, for shopping, for riding. Recent purchases of gravel bikes and fat tire bikes have put it in limbo. I decided to make it an urban thrasher (whatever that means, I'm a pretty laid back racer) and based on other reviews I replaced the studded tires with these. HOLY PRAY! A brand new ride! Quiet, responsive, kind of "soft" even at 65 pounds. print and I LOVE the look. Was inspired to clean up…

Easy to fit on tires and tubes

Differences to other tires I have used on our Cannondale tandem. Higher rolling resistance. Soft handling, especially for my stoker. Wide brim had to be installed around the Migura hydraulic brakes. General Features: Easy to install, no tools required (requires tools to remove old tires). I think it's better than many general purpose cameras from 1.5 to 2.75 inches. At 4 bar, the center of the tire rolls off about 1-2 cm Large sidewall in corners, which easily doubles the size of my old tires…

Great slicks for my mountain bike!

Great slicks. I mounted them on my Trek Fuel EX 6 26 as it's the only bike I have, but I like being able to hit the road without ruining my mountain bike tires. They look nicer live, less "plastic" than in the picture. It was interesting to get used to the shape of the tire as it almost comes to a raised point (I use the term slack) in the middle of the tire, making it a little "skewed" when you're wider and flatter mountainous terrain. Tires. However, it has good traction and the drag…

Works well but VERY WIDE

I've had these tires for a few months now. I bought these to replace a set of studded tires on my mountain bike. I mainly ride on paved or packed trails, so I don't need a gnarly tread at the moment. These tires have really reduced my rolling resistance. The smooth tread really reduced the noise from my tires and they roll pretty smooth. I have ridden over 500 miles on these tires and they have performed great. No punctures or punctures, no problems at all. The biggest disadvantage of these…

Hello #3 chainring cycling

Bought these for my DB Wildwood aluminum frame. I hope to have one more season before I update when the new models come out for Christmas. They replace the stock Kenda multi-purpose tires. Revain shipped them separately a week apart which was a shame but they arrived according to shipping specs. I ride mostly for fitness but occasionally in light dirt. What I have noticed so far: Significant improvement in handling. .In my 15 mile fitness run I ran about 2 miles per hour. Basically 3 on the…

Smart looking tire

The first thing that struck me about this tire was how it looked on my mountain bike. It's actually a bit reminiscent of a motorcycle tire. I've ridden it a bit so far so I'll update if I have new thoughts, but so far it seems satisfying and faster than my old mtn bike tires. Quiet enough to be sure. However, don't expect super good traction on gravel. I can feel my tires "spitting" rocks left and right in my Rockdrive, which makes me nervous at higher speeds, but they haven't really skidded…

Great tire and great deal

I have driven about 400km on these tires so far and am very happy with them. The original tires on my Jamis Explorer were hybrid tyres, but since I really only ride paved roads, when it came time to change them I decided to buy a road tyre, although for comfort and driveability I was originally a size 1, 95 stayed on the occasional grass or hardpacked earth. Thinner tires are undoubtedly faster, but they offer a smooth, consistent ride and handle wet conditions very well. The cross section…

My second Kenda K838 is the best in tires and tubes

My first experience with the Kenda K838 was about 6 months ago when it replaced a Michelin City tire that suddenly went into flat mode 2 or 3 times . He had a lot of miles on it so I think the profile is thinner. In any case, when I came across many positive reviews for the Kenda K838, I considered other tire brands as possible Michelin replacements. A lot of good things are said about a tire that costs less than $15. (Michelin, on the other hand, was in the mid-20s price range). The reason I…
