This is not microwave safe. I haven't had them for a very long time, today I was heating up dinner and the plate exploded in the microwave. (I've never exploded anything in the microwave, let alone glass!) I had two bean burritos with tomatoes and some cheese on top. Judging by the photo, the cheese hasn't even melted yet. VERY annoying not being able to use something in the microwave where the description says I can use it in the microwave. (Also annoying: I skipped lunch because I didn't have time to clean up the mess and make something else for dinner.) What a mess. I like the shape and style of the plate but it's a bit scary. The record was undamaged before I used it today and I may have used the entire set twice (this will be the third use). I think I'll just have to use them for pasta and salad. I would give this a 1 star rating but I love the Duralex 7 inch plates and have used them in the microwave a lot with no problems.
