Review on OXO SteeL Ice Cream Scoop by Holly Smith

I regret not having to purchase it. Oxo is a good brand. Almost everything they do is of excellent quality, usually with a distinctive fin grip. I like a good solid ice cream scoop and I like a pop up spoon like this. But now I've bought two of these with the same disappointing result of the screw cap coming loose. My first had a loose screw cap for the hardware that connected to the slide latch, most likely in a dishwasher. This rendered it unusable as the popup is an integral part of the shovel itself. But I shrugged, threw it in the bin and ordered another one, thinking it probably wouldn't happen a second time. And so it happened again, but this time I found a screw in my mouth with a sip of ice cream. Cream. I'm lucky I didn't swallow it and lost my filling. As I said, I love Oxo products and have several of them in my kitchen. But I will not buy a third of these bullets.
