I used it for outdoor installation. My vacuum cleaner is very noisy in front of the house and I wanted to do something good for the neighbors. He does exactly what he is supposed to. I am very happy. By the way, I read the review of a person who used it for an internal install and said he didn't do anything. When installed indoors, the exhaust fumes from the vacuum cleaner are not the biggest source of noise. This is an engine. An exhaust silencer does not reduce engine noise.
