Review on Bicycle Mechanic Maintenance Aluminum Adjustable by Raymond Gray

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Very good quality and value for money.

Despite some bad reviews I bought this to fix a new bike my son got for Christmas. It came with wobbly wheels, misaligned brakes and needed a derailed adjustment. However, when this stand arrived I was very surprised by the quality and amazed by the instructions. The assembly is somewhat intuitive, but I have a lot of hands-on experience with mechanics. When assembled it can be strong or shaky, but that's up to the assembler, which means checking the components already assembled. I had to retighten a few loose screws. The cam that the clamp bolts were attached to was probably bent in transit but can easily be repaired with a Cresent wrench to bend it back. There seems to be an error between the packaging and the courier's delivery schedule, but not in the product itself. I would recommend it to anyone with hands-on mechanical skills. It's reliable when balancing the bike or finding the center of gravity when it's on the stand without pulling it out all the way. Otherwise your bike will fall. I recommend this to people with practical skills based on quality (value) per dollar. You could easily ask for more. If hands-on ability isn't your thing, I recommend using a bike rack or Park Tools. Many thanks to the manufacturer for making it from quality parts. Please write clear and concise instructions for assembly and use. You can even post them on Youtube.
