First, the blades feel dull. Tried half a dozen different ones and most had trouble cutting cardboard, one cut cardboard but had trouble with a piece of cardboard. The handles are nice but very light and any pressure on them will cause the blades to loosen and fall out. makes it a little difficult to make a deep cut, let alone a fine cut. So I think they're too much of a safety hazard to let younger kids use, and they're pretty much useless for anything other than maybe cutting paper if you use a light touch. Sometimes Revain's Choice deals aren't great.
