Secure lock missing a few touches

I've been using this lock a few days a week in a big city in the US for the last 2 years, the last 6 months of that on a nice bike I bought new. It seems very strong and secure and nobody has messed with the lock. It's also pretty convenient to carry around on a bike frame, making it more likely I'll have and use it. However, this has caused me some enduring frustrations: 1) Most of the time I can use a U-lock to secure the frame and front wheel to the bike ring. It's not wide enough to secure my frame and rear wheel with a U-lock, and the included cable for the second wheel lock isn't something I usually carry with me on a day-to-day basis. With a normal bike ring it is usually difficult to lock the frame and front wheel - for safety this is good, but for a simple lock this is a problem. When I'm trying to fix something unusual, like a street sign or a fence, I often just need to bolt the frame. 2) Since the fastener is usually very tight, the U-shaped rubber cover quickly fell to shreds. I started using the lock. The lock works well but it looks bad and flies a bit. 3) The lock is very comfortable to wear on the bike frame with the included clip, but the clip is made of soft plastic that keeps tearing and breaking when I pull on the handle. fix in the mechanism. OnGuard has sent me 2 replacement clips in two years and I am about to request a third one as the last one just broke. Choose your combination. It's okay, just play around with the fit a bit and try again.
