Great Product - Installs easily and first time with the included 'wrench' on the 2" ABS riser seal (tightening clockwise from top with large screwdriver in center key slot expands seal to pipe). The riser does not require sealant. The instructions say silicone sealant between the drain body and the shower tray - it works. Many plumbers advise using plumbers. In my experience either will do as the mating surfaces with the large nut on the underside are well smooth/tight. Note. The rubber and paper washers sit on the underside of the base with the rubber base touching (accommodating the relatively rough surface of the shower base) and the paper against the nut to allow for twist tightening. You might think that the rubber at the top should go between the drain and the drain trough in the shower - no.
