FAST. QUICKLY. QUICKLY! I switched to the latest Sony G-series SD cards from SanDisk for my Fujifilm X-T2 camera because they are faster and slightly cheaper. After finally replacing my iMac with a recent model, I bought this and a similar size and format Kingston Memory brand reader as the iMac's SD reader is in an awkward spot on the back of the unit. Of course, you'll need UHS-II cards and USB 3 or higher ports to take full advantage of this reader, but once you do, you'll never go back. It is by far the fastest and most reliable way to transfer large numbers of images and footage from camera to hard drive for editing. The cap is handy for protecting the USB plug when traveling, but since it's not attached, it's more likely to get lost along the way. I want to use an adapter to work with my Macbook Pro. If you have it on sale, it's worth it. Otherwise, the Kingston Reader is the same size and almost the same speed for a lot less money.
