A rare find, a real gem!
I recently installed a small recessed light above the dark central staircase in my hallway. The original bulb, a 50-watt commercial halogen bulb, gave off a bright, glaring light, and I regretted installing the bulb. Then I found this 35 watt lightbulb with a completely FROZEN LENS. Wow what a difference! Now the staircase is flooded with soft, even light - exactly the effect I was looking for. GU10 MR16 bulbs with frosted lenses are very hard to find even at Home Depot. Some places sell devices with frosted bulbs, but they are not created equal. You want the entire lens to be matte to eliminate harsh shadows.
