I burned out a spark plug head on my Honda 600 sport bike and I was pretty sure it was done but decided to use the coil to mend the threaded hole. The plugs are in 8 inch deep holes and there is a bar over the holes so access to the plug hole was difficult. I bought a drill bit and screw spools but I needed a 90 degree drill bit and there was no way to keep the drill bit aligned to redrill the hole cleanly then I would have to thread and wrap the hole somehow. Then I saw this one kit and it solved all those problems. The stepped tap screws into the cork hole so that it aligns perfectly when the tap is larger. All I had to do was turn the tap all the way to thread the hole and vacuum out the shavings. The coil insertion tool worked great and the cutting tool placed the top of the coil spool flush with the head. I put the plugs in and put everything back together, after the repair I rode the bike 3000 miles and it works perfectly. This kit saved me from buying a new bike. The costs were negligible for that.
