Review on Black Performance Internal Hard Drive by Stanisaw Muter ᠌

Hello. I bought this HDD in March 2022. Now it is November 2022. WD1003FZEX worked all this time like clockwork. Its only drawback is vibration andcomnstant hum because of them. Not therustling of the heads, but the hum due to the rotation of the spindle. I replaced it with a WD10EZEX because thecomnstantly buzzingcomputer is boring. The noise remained. For the sake of interest, I decided to check - what was so buzzing there? Opened WD10EZEX. . Jpg?dl=0 See photo. Red shows a recess, the purpose of which I did not understand. It has already been discussed somewhere in various forums, but I did not believe that WD would stoop to this. The undercut causes the disc spindle to be out of center and creates vibration. I opened exactly WD10EZEX. The hero of this review - did not open. But I can bet almost anything that the WD1003FZEX has exactly the same factory undercut. Love it! What have I not done with these discs! And I hung it on elastic bands, and put a massive stand, and wrapped it with foamrubber in a box from an old CD drive. In general, I categorically do not recommend it for twocomnditions - 1) noise, 2) vibration loads on the spindle bearing, which can disable it at any time.
