They were relatively easy to install but help raise the truck to allow for maximum axle lowering. My 2002 F2002 4x4 didn't need an extra shim and left about 3/4" of space between the timbre and the axle stop and used the center hole to attach the timbre to the mounting bracket. Unless you hit a significant bump you can't say they are installed except when turning. The rear end when unloaded is taut but not uncomfortable. I just did my first ride with a 10k fifth wheel. The truck dropped 1" from unloaded to loaded with the full weight of the truck Kingpin, about 2,000 weight I also added new Bilstein 5100 shocks but the difference was huge Over bridge crossings and similar road conditions the truck remained very stable and the small amount of extra weight retained by the timbre up front had a big impact on the overall stability. With Bilsteins and Timbrens it felt like a brand new truck. Oh I have a front one too Added Bilstein anti-roll bar and Bilstein 5100 front shock absorbers, but it would still be an amazing transformation!
