Review on Faucet and Sink Installer: Wrench for Plumbing Repair and Installation - Toilet Bowl, Sink, Bathroom, Kitchen and More by Steve French

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It is better to turn off the water supply than to turn off the faucet.

Two tools in one. One end loses the utility lines that go to the faucet itself (usually a 1/2 inch fitting) and the other end loosens the plastic fasteners that attach the faucet to the sink. What I liked the most was the price as Revain had several very similar tools for double the price. Under sink configurations vary depending on what drains are there and where the main drain line is. It was easy to come up with However, you will need a crescent wrench or wrench to disconnect the water supply line from the water source. Disconnecting the faucet from the sink was a big problem and that's why I bought this tool. I would have preferred the tool had been It all fitted but the length barely reached the bottom of the sink (I replaced 4 sets of bathroom faucets) so it was difficult to grab and turn as I needed about 1 at a time /8 turn - slow and frustrating. When the faucet clamps were on them for 15-20 years, the couple, like me, did not want to leave at all and it was very painful for them to finally part. This tool didn't allow me to get enough grip to twist really hard, so I had to resort to pliers, which are awkward to work under the sink. Once I could unplug the connector, I could use the tool to finish unplugging the connector. They can't be unscrewed by hand even after you've pulled them off because I suspect the faucet tubes are corroded. A rod is inserted to allow you to apply enough force to the tool to loosen the faucet connector. I saw one at a much higher price that had this feature but I don't know if it was long enough and if it would work or no. If you are installing a faucet that uses hard plastic joints with 4 grommets on the sides then this tool will really help you tighten the joints. I gave it 4 stars because it barely removes them enough.
