Review on Wi-Fi router MikroTik hAP ac2, black by Mateusz Wycech ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A practical product, nothing to complain about.

In general, it seems like a good idea, as you just have to configure it once. Stability on par with that of Keenetic. Prior to that, there existed the TP-Link Archer A6, which required a daily stable reboot. But it would be wonderful if the maker was up-to-date, included current functions, seamless roaming, etc., and updated the app and firmware accordingly. After all, the router is set up in their line as if it were a residential router.

Pros
  • Consistently and stably functional Many specialized options High-quality scalability and network implementation for commercial and residential settings. A strong signal that doesn't slow down your connection, even in a compact apartment. The router is compact and unobtrusive, and its lack of external antennae is a major benefit. A USB modem or storage device can be attached.
Cons
  • The router's operating system isn't made for home use; not everyone can get it up and running. You should look into various guides before making a purchase. The lack of an integrated print server (only network printers can be connected here initially) Unfortunately, there is no DLNA server (connecting a hard drive and streaming video from it to a TV set will not work) Unfortunately, neither Time Machine nor the ability to utilize a network to back up a computer are supported (it is obvious that one can purchase a NAS, but one can get by without this feature on home routers). Despite the OS's scalability options, 8022022 k / v does not support true seamless roaming, meaning that users may notice temporary interruptions in service when moving between access points in a wide-area network. It's odd that an entire year has passed since the iOS app was last updated in 2022. (for Android, they seem to have made a second application with simplified settings, which will go for home settings) When in use, the USB 2.0 port gets quite hot (it would be possible to install 3.0) No WPA3
