I bought a 7" TOMLOV microscope but decided I needed extra lighting. It was a good decision. I gave a 4 star rating because there is no switch to turn off the light - you have to plug and unplug the USB cable. For me that means crawling on the floor. Otherwise no problem. I would like to add that you will probably encounter problems if you want to photograph live insects, since a live insect does not like the bright light or heat given off by lights. A partial solution would be cool LED lights. It would be nice to add a stand height bar to provide up to 18 inches of additional height. This rod can be made with threads that screw into the table and a screw that accepts the adjustment arm threads. This rod does not need to be threaded to move the scope up and down. Just a thought. I solved the elevation problem - see my review of the 7" TOMLOV scope.
