The tricky latch is best in Power Door Lock

The latch is the same as the OEM but you have to close the door VERY gently for it to latch. Yes, I adjusted both the striker and the door wire. And door hinges. I've replaced and repaired hundreds of door locks so I don't think it's a lack of experience. The problem is in the latch itself. would be too cumbersome but I wouldn't recommend buying a Dorman latch assembly for this particular vehicle. (Equinox 2014)
