. I've tried about six other products before to get my 50 gallon tank working. None of them worked, my ammonia and nitrites were off the charts, I had to use ammo chips which I recharged daily, and I also did a half tank water change daily for several weeks. Tiring! I added this product as stated. Within twenty-four hours my ammonia decreased and within three days it was gone. The nitrates eventually started to read but never went above 10ppm and the nitrites went away as well. Since then I have had no more problems with ammonia emissions. (It's been about four months.) Highly recommend!
