Review on Magellan Meridian External Cigarette Lighter by Jennifer Ford

I bought this with a Magellan Sportrak Pro GPS navigator. I already knew the connector was shared with the data port, but since I don't have a laptop I didn't want to spend extra money on a duplicate cable. This item does exactly what it's supposed to. It works great on long trips where I don't have to worry about draining the batteries to the point where I can't use the GPS at my destination. Attaching and detaching the connector with D-rings is a bit more complicated than simply connecting to a GPS, but it's clear that building a dive GPS comes with such compromises. I can live with it.
