This thing is usually only good for chopping pre-peeled garlic. This is only the case if you can mount the gear on top so that it fits into the bore of the blade cylinder. It took forever to align properly to close the device. Tried with chili...doesn't work...unless you stuff everything with chili...it might work. But I tried it with 10 small red chili peppers and it was a mess! The seeds were all over the container which made the chili empty and even lighter so it just stuck to the side of the container along with all the seeds. I tried it on finely chopped vegetables, the blades didn't even move. Not a great experience but it is an experience.
