I bought two of these for my car as I usually sweat a lot at work - in South Florida and with all the humidity - I didn't like my car seat taking the brunt of it. They are on regular car seat covers as it is basically a towel. I can quickly and easily take them off and then throw them in the washing machine. I bought two so I always have one on hand when the other goes in the wash. I thought they might be too warm but I find them no hotter than the stain on the bedspread. The most important piece of advice is to remember to think of them as a towel and not a seat cover. This will put an end to any frustration you might have of having to tweak it every time you sit down. The fitting process is now a chore for me, and it's a small price to pay for believing they can be machine washed.
