Review on ๐ŸŽฎ The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D - Unveiling the Epic Remake! by Dennis Goozmer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Big revamp in some areas, but confusing changes in others.

First of all I love the original Majora mask. This might be an odd duck in the series, but I've always appreciated the differences, like the 3-day system and the bomber's notebook. However, there were some quirks that I think could be fixed in a future version. But first a few words about the version I received. Living in the US I was expecting to get one for the US market but instead got one for Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Singapore. I was frustrated at first but as it turns out it's not region specific and I don't think they censored anything for this version. Experience is time, but there are several quality of life improvements. Most importantly, you can now use the Dual Time Song to jump to any hour of the day in the future, rather than in half-day increments. Your owl saves are now permanent and there are more owl statues than before. They also made the Bomber Notebook more informative and improved Deku and Goron's transformations. And yet some of the changes confuse me. Zora's form now levitates more slowly, and you must use magic to move faster. I think it made the beaver race easier, but it was an odd choice. In addition, they also changed the boss templates, specifically for Giorg and Twinmold. For Giorg, in the second half of the fight, you have to swim and electrocute him. In Twinmold you fight one worm at a time and only use the giant's mask on the second worm. They also move some things, such as the stone mask. I assume your mileage may vary for the above changes. I personally thought Gyorg was improved, but Twinmold was hard to come by. If you're a Zelda fan but haven't played MM64 yet, get this version. If you played the N64 version, buy it, but wait for the price to drop.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
