This fan is loud as many other owners have found; however, it serves its purpose. I received the refills today and am already seeing immediate results. I play a lot of Left 4 Dead 2, Gears of War 2 and Mass Effect 2 - these games alone require a lot of time on the controller and sometimes you have to take an hour or two off. Previously, if I left my system unattended, I could rest assured that it was warmer than it should be. One option I suggest to everyone is to install their games directly onto the hard drive. This reduces the power needed to run the game discs and keeps the console cool. This method works very/fairly well, but the console still gets hot, so now with an intercooler I expect a much cooler console than before. I'm thinking of putting my console upright so I'm wondering if adding another fan as advertised here (a vertical cooler on a glowing stand) would that make the system even cooler than just the intercooler even? Something to think about. The idea for fans actually came from ham since ham rigs get 10x hotter than 360s so I'm also considering asking my amateur buddy to help me install more fans.
