It simply works best for testing, measuring and checking

Easy to use, works as expected, reasonable accuracy, requires no batteries and is inexpensive. This type of Brix refractometer can cost anywhere from $20 to $$$, but if they are calibrated to 0% and 10% (water and coke) I don't see a problem with cheap ones. Buy three: one to wear, one as a spare, one for a friend.

Pros

This instrument can also measure other products! The 0-40% Brix range is also suitable for many other applications!
