Works well when you don't have any power hungry drives attached
I use this hub with my laptop to connect two USB security modules, a wireless mouse receiver and a USB drive to drive. It works great for my needs. Although it does have some power, the product description warns that some drives that draw a lot of power may not be compatible with this hub, so keep that in mind. It doesn't concern me, so I have no problems with this hub. Transferring from a USB drive is about as fast as if I plugged the drive directly into my laptop. Nice little USB-A hub.
