Review on ๐ Dorman 740-478 Front Driver Side Window Regulator: Perfect Fit for BMW Models by Steve Rohde
I had to send it back and buy a "genuine " part from the dealer.
This part was so weak it weighed much less than the original part I removed from my 525IT. The metal was thinner, and one of the cable guides was bent so badly that it pinched the cable, and the plastic retainer attached to it was pinching the window halfway up. I could probably bend the cable routing, but I felt like I wouldn't have to if it was done right and there was some sort of quality control. Raven is great. No fuss on return and I used my BMW dealer wholesale account and got a real OEM for $50 more. Probably the last time I buy parts from Revain, except for my '93 325 "fan" which I use to take my 5 Standard Poodles to the beach. You've already ruined the upholstery.
