I bought this for my mum who has arthritis and other joint/muscle issues that make it very painful for her to use a regular knife or even a rotary pizza cutter . She and my dad used this cutter for everything from pizza to beef to chicken and even carrots. This knife helps my mother cook. However I think this knife doesn't have the best cutting steel as it took me almost twenty minutes to get rid of the burr, it seemed the steel was too malleable and the burr wouldn't come off. I've been a professional knife maker for a few years so I'm pretty sure of my opinion, but the knife hasn't given my parents any sharpness issues for the last few weeks so maybe the steel is ok. My parents practiced a bit to get used to it, so it's their learning curve. The pun is not intended.
