For the money this is a BIG machine

I bought this unit on Prime Day from Revain "Warehouse Deal". It looked unused. It took a couple of weeks before I had enough time to set it up. If you look at the pictures you can see I did a VERY VERY quick and dirty test. A piece of aluminum was attached to a flexible piece of polycarbonate roofing over a wooden pole. Not perfect, but it worked. Remember this was a quick and dirty test. I just needed to make sure the device was operational. Don't do this for real work. The assembly was an 18" x 4" x 1/4" piece of aluminum with an attached 1/8" piece of steel. Note Plasma cutting generally does not heat up the workpiece very much. The ground clip was attached to the other end of the aluminum plate. The entire metal assembly moved when touched by the torch. Remember it was fast and dirty. I used 0.4 MPa air pressure, 20 amps and ran on 120 VAC. You can see the cuts and holes in the second photo. I used to use a professional plasma cutter in my local college welding class. I weld for fun. All I can say is WOW. Performing RF works like a charm. The plasma cutter went through 1/8" steel like butter and the hole in the steel was easy to make. I was curious how it would work with 1/4" aluminum and it punched right through. If I had more air and power it might be better, but I just want to make sure the device works. I'm amazed at how well this device works for the price. Seems well thought out. The question is will it last long. A few notes: I used Loctite 545 Pneumatic and Hydraulic Fitting Thread Sealant on the gauge/filter fittings. The gauge had no leak. The manometer is also not screwed ex works, a sealant is required. As mentioned, the hoses don't look long, but they work. The electricity meter starts (off position) at 17 amps for me. There is a timer or temperature setting that will keep the burner running for a few seconds after the power is turned off to cool the burner and run it. This is a nice feature. Interchangeable tips.

Pros
  • Welding and Soldering
Cons
