Review on 🚿 KOHLER 135188 0.5 Inch Wall Valve System by Trey Angus

WARNING! Revain sent me a used valve. It comes with connection fittings for both threaded pipe and brazed pipe. Threaded connections were used, the smooth metallic sealing surface was scratched and the flared lip had wrench marks, both parts (hot and cold side). Also, the cold valve was turned counter-clockwise to open while the hot valve was turned clockwise to open, indicating that someone has already "reversed" the direction of the hot valve. The mating ends for the solder joint looked much better, but the hot side continued to leak (at the metal-to-metal joint). Upon re-examination, the inside surface of the hot valve was scratched and stained. I had to buff with steel wool a few times (I mean 10-12 times) before I finally stopped licking. But I'm scared to death that after I close the wall and install a new shower, this thing will leak, which will do a lot of damage over time. I had to send it back. Revain, if you're listening, my wall isn't closed yet and if you send me another one I'll send it back and rewrite this review. You should NOT resell returned items without carefully inspecting them. (I shouldn't have installed without inspecting the sealing surfaces and verifying functionality). I didn't expect to buy a used shower faucet!
