Review on 📻 C.Crane CCRadio-2E Portable Enhanced AM/FM Weather and 2-Meter Ham Band Radio (Black) by Patrick Pearson

I bought this radio three and a half years ago. After about a year of normal use, the preset buttons above began to fail: that is, you press one and nothing happens. This problem gradually got worse with the buttons on top and has now spread to EVERY button on the radio. It's all random: you press the clock set button, for example, and the station changes, or the band changes, or the display dims. Meanwhile, the preset buttons above are 100% useless. The radio sounds as good as ever, which is excellent, reception is also excellent and doesn't degrade, but that doesn't matter when it's this difficult to use. This is the second Crane radio I've bought, but I won't be replacing it with another Crane. The company obviously doesn't care about long-term usability. Update 10/28/2018: Immediately after submitting this review, I was contacted by C. Crane and offered to send a replacement free of charge. Miss Urbina could not have been kinder on this occasion and followed every step. Since then I've used a new one every day with no problems. Based on this experience, I have to say that C. Crane definitely REALLY cares about the long term use of their radios and just as importantly, they genuinely care about their customers.
