I replaced the flimsy plastic check valves on my RV with these. The plastic bottles broke and leaked. My only concern is if this will cause galvanic corrosion since they are in direct contact with the aluminum tank. I have a zinc stick to prevent this. I think an anti-corrosion bar in the sewers would be essential if you plan on using them. The only difficulty with the project was that, like many RV modifications, the water heater is a little tricky to access. So if you don't have the patience to work in a confined space, consider letting an RV mechanic do the job.
